Many Accounting firms in this country use hourly charge rates as a means of determining how much they will charge you.
Consider this; those firms using hourly charge rates are being directly rewarded for how inefficient they are. The longer they take the more they get to charge you!
In our view that is not exactly ethical behaviour. We don't think this is fair on you, so here at Ross Wadeson Accountants Pty Ltd we don't base our fee on individual charge rates. Instead, we will give you a fixed price for the work we undertake. You will receive and agree a price in advance of us starting your project.
When we get into your work, if we are inefficient then that's our problem, not yours – the price remains the same.
Should the scope of the work we are required to do change, we will discuss with you any variation to the price quoted. Normally the price does not change because we spend time with you at the outset to determine the exact scope of the work.
Overall we think this is a fairer way to do business and provide value to you. Importantly; there are no surprises.
